The Cuban Correspondence Chess Federation (FECAP) - is organizing the "Capablanca IM 2024" to honor the 3er FIDE World Champion (1921 – 1927) our José Raúl Capablanca Graupera (La Habana, November 19, 1888 - Nueva York, March 8, 1942)

It will be an International Invitational Tournament played in a single phase with 5 Sections of 13 players each.

The start date of the tournament is November 19, 2024.

There’s no registration fee. Cost will be on FECAP.

The tournament will be played in a single Robin Round on the ICCF server at triple block time control for a 350 days event, with 50 days initial bank and 1 day increment for the first 50 moves.

The tournament will be rated and valid to obtain the norms for ICCF titles in all groups.

This tournament will award certificates to the top 3 players in each group.

We want to invite you to nominate a player of your Federation, using ICCF rating 4/2024, for

Section 2: + 2400 looking for Category 7
